The presence of Engineer Shegaft, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rash-Kian Company,
in the joint meeting with the esteemed President of the University of Gilan, the Representative of the People of Someh-Sara in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and a group of provincial and local officials.

In this meeting, the importance of natural resources disciplines in addressing environmental challenges and the geographical capacities of Gilan was emphasized, along with the necessity of comprehensive support for this faculty to enhance its scientific and research activities.

Dr. Ali Basti, the esteemed President of the University of Gilan, highlighted the importance of natural resources disciplines in managing environmental challenges and ensuring the sustainable utilization of the province’s natural capacities. He also underscored the influential role of the Faculty of Natural Resources in regional and provincial decision-making and emphasized the need for full support.

Dr. Saeed Rahmat-Zadeh, the Representative of the People of Someh-Sara in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, also pointed out the alignment of natural resources disciplines with the geographical and environmental capacities of Gilan Province. He emphasized the importance of skill-based education, problem-oriented research, and training specialized human resources to meet regional needs.

Dr. Ramin Naghdi, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources, provided a comprehensive report on the faculty’s educational and research performance. He referred to major challenges—including insufficient educational infrastructure, the need to expand research facilities, and laboratory equipment—and stressed the necessity of sustainable support to advance scientific and research activities.

It is worth noting that after the meeting, the Acting President of the University, accompanied by the Representative of Someh-Sara, the Governor of Someh-Sara, the Director-General of Fisheries of the Province, the Acting Deputy for Forest Affairs of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department, and the Chairman of the Board of Rash-Kian Company, visited various sections of the Faculty of Natural Resources.
